Service Advisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our independent garage team. The Service Advisor acts as a liaison between customers and our technicians, providing expert guidance on vehicle repairs and services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing repair orders efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and professionally, understanding their vehicle needs
Listen to and clarify customer concerns and service requirements
Prepare and explain detailed estimates for repairs and maintenance
Communicate effectively with technicians regarding service instructions and timelines
Keep customers informed about repair progress and any additional findings
Offer additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and manufacturer recommendations
Review and approve repair orders prior to service completion
Ensure all documentation, estimates, and work orders are accurate and complete
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction
Maintain excellent customer service standards and foster long-term relationships
Keep the Customer area organized and tidy
Stay current with automotive technology, service procedures, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role, preferably in an automotive environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to explain technical information clearly and understandably
Good organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures is a plus
High level of professionalism and customer-focused attitude
Proficiency with automotive management software is desirable
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
